Privacy Policy

The Curio House (the “App,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. The App is offline-first — you can play the whole game without an account and without giving us any personal information. This policy explains what we collect only if you use the optional online features.

Information we collect

• Nothing is required to play. The App runs fully offline; your progress lives on your device.
• Sign-in (optional). If you choose Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier so we can link your saved progress to you. On your first Apple sign-in, Apple may share your email address once; we use it only to create a display name (handle) and store that handle, not your full email. We never receive your Apple or Google password.
• Cloud save (optional). If you are signed in, your game save — progress, stars, curios, Glim balance, and settings — is stored on our server so you can continue on another device.
• Leaderboard (optional). If you are signed in and online, your chosen handle, Glim total, star count, and completion percentage may appear on the public World Ledger leaderboard.
• Weather (optional). If you enable the real-world weather feature, the App requests your device’s approximate location to fetch local conditions from a third-party weather service (Open-Meteo). Location is used only to fetch that weather; it is not stored on our servers and is not shared for advertising. You can leave weather off or deny the location permission at any time.
• Purchases. In-app purchases are processed by Apple (and by Google on Android). We do not receive or store your payment card details.

What we do not do

• No third-party advertising or ad-tracking SDKs.
• No cross-app tracking, and no selling of your personal information.

How we use information

Only to save and sync your progress, show the leaderboard, provide the optional weather effects, complete purchases, and respond to support requests.

Storage & security

Online data (cloud save, handle, leaderboard standing) is stored on our servers and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. We use reasonable measures to protect it, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices & data deletion

“Start the House over” in Settings erases your local progress on the device. To delete data tied to your account on our servers (cloud save and leaderboard entry), email icorpsonline@gmail.com and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “Effective” date above will change when we do.
